Long weekends make for a long post...

So my first craft show has come and gone! I had a blast and met some really cool people. I was a bit stressed trying to get everything made, because I didn't know what to expect. It all turned out ok though! My brother flew in last Thursday to hang out and help me. We got to sit and hang out all day Saturday, which made the day way more fun. He flirted with all my customers, or my female customers I should clarify. Dude sold some headbands though!

As previously mentioned we had a spot on the news promoting the show. I don't have video of it. Everyone who taped it did it with DVR. Anyone know how to get that onto youtube? Anyway, but that was fun.

My helpers trying to figure out how to hang my banner.

My booth.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I really appreciated the support. I got excited every time I saw a familiar face walk up. The show was a success. My pillows will now be carried at Dwelling Spaces, which I'm really excited about. I'm also going to collaborate with the Ra$pberry Grunt girls on some pillows. I have some other cool things in the works, too. I will share soon! I have lots to do!!

Tomorrow on the news...

So if you live in the Tulsa area, you should watch Fox 23 news midday tomorrow, lets say around 12:15. I'm going to be on there pimping Indie Emporium. Hopefully, I won't accidentally trip, cuss, or throw up on live TV...ha.

A Ramble About Sleep...

When I'm sleepy I often complain about it. It sucks to be tired, but it's even worse when lack of sleep gives you a migraine every time. Especially, when your migraine medicine is a bit expensive because you accidentally chose the wrong prescription plan and can't change it till January... Which translates to me as not getting enough sleep is expensive. So anyway, I'm getting ready for this weekend and have been staying up way later than normal. When I was in school and staying up late working on a paper, Isabell would be sleeping away on the couch and it always made me more tired. Cats have a way of making sleep look so delicious.

My sweeties, aww right?

My Little Buddy.

Some of you may remember that I used to nanny for two cute kids, Abby and Jackson. I occasionally still babysit for them . I used to keep Jackson the most, he was 7 months when I started and is now 2! We are totally BFF. I keep asking if I can have him, but so far they haven't let me take him though I think I'm wearing them down! He also talks now AND he says my name. If you only knew what an accomplishment this is. After many days filled with me trying to bribe him with toys and food, he can finally say it. So now I try to make him say it over and over. He just ends up giggling. Here we are having fun with Photo Booth.

Yay for websites!

My website is up! http://www.theknitowl.net/

Thanks to my husband for the business card and website.
We have also bought http://www.ambyblog.com/
So you can just type that in now to find me. The old address still works, too.
I'm working really hard to prepare for Indie Emporium, which is in less than 2 weeks, so a lot of my new items aren't in my Etsy store. If you see something you like please tell me, because it is all for sale. Here are some pics I took over the weekend:

Cherokee Film Festival

Nathan's short film, "Boy", that he worked on for his friend Drew, was picked to be in the Cherokee Film Festival this past Friday. The festival was held at the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa. So we took a road trip down there and met up with our friend Jared Tyler for the screening. The people working the festival said their film had the biggest turn out all day!

It was Jared and my first time in a casino. We totally felt sucked in. No clocks...oooh!
After gambling our life savings away, ok so we only spent $3, we got hungry. We decided to check out a local joint. The fried chicken was delicious. I haven't had any in like a year. After that we pigged out on candy corns, which are the Cadbury Mini Eggs of fall. Like for real.

ORU Lawsuit

It's amazing what these ministers think they can get away with, like they are above the law or something! I think it is extremely important for these men to be exposed. They are taking advantage of innocent people and they need to be stopped. Instead of taking responsibility they get mad at those who call them out. They are manipulators with a bunch of brainwashed followers.

God complex: A psychosis based in uncontrolled narcissism, inflated arrogance and a perceived need to subjugate and/or ridicule other individuals deemed to be inferior or unworthy.

You may have heard about the recent ORU lawsuit on the news. If not, you should check out the link below.

A post about two kinds of bands...

Headbands for Indie Emporium.
A band playing at Indie Emporium

Nathan's band, Motorcade, is playing at the after party on Oct. 26. They will also be playing Freaker's Ball again this year on Oct. 27. Woohoo.
