An Isabell Update...because I know everyone has been anxiously awaiting!

I just realized that it had been awhile since I'd posted a picture of her. Nathan took some really cute one's of her that are now being displayed on our wall.

Let it snow...

Last week we had our first snow in good ole' Green Country. We're supposed to have some more tonight, but it won't be going below freezing. I love when it ices over and everyone's inconvenienced! I must say that Tulsa is redeeming itself with the snow. I also can't wait until tornado season! Nathan and I have decided that if we ever get bored with our lives that we're going to become storm chasers. We live for the thrill...

Pizza Hut Rules

So, I'm sitting here waiting on my pizza to be delivered. The pizza that I ordered on the INTERNET. How cool is that? It makes me wonder if it will really show up at my door. I guess we'll find out in the next 45 minutes to an hour. If you're hungry and craving a hot, cheesy pizza visit: www.pizzahut.com You'll be glad you did.

Fancy Feast

Isabell was really excited about her Thanksgiving feast. She normally eats boring dry food.
I hope everyone had as good a Thanksgiving as Isabell.

Dumpster Diver

Last night Nathan and I had dinner at his parents. After dinner he decided to go look through some of his stuff that they are storing for him. He found a few things he needed to bring home. Well, there was a garbage bag full of stuff. It got left outside the door to our apartment. We have a building to ourselves, so it's normally not a big deal. Anyway, so it was sitting where I normally put the trash when it needs to go out. Today when I was cleaning I walked out and noticed that it was gone. Nathan being the good husband that he is had carried it to the dumpster. He was at work when I realized what had happened. He freaked out and begged that I go look in the dumpster for it. He tells me that there is a large stick in the front yard and that I should get it. So, I'm walking around our apartment to the dumpster in the middle of the day carrying a really large stick. I was praying that none of our neighbors were watching. But sure enough out comes a lady carrying trash. She gave me the strangest look, because by this point I have the stick in the dumpster and I'm poking around. I sort of mumble that my husband accidently threw something away. She tells me that she believes me that I'm not a dumpster diver. She said that since she was taller she would help. So, we poke around a few bags of old, rotting food until we see the top of a little keyboard sticking out. I pointed and said, "that's it." She pulls and tugs until it comes free. She tells me that my husband really owes me, which I already knew.

Painting Ornaments is Fun

My mom gave us ornaments last year to paint for Christmas this year. She and my dad painted some when they first got married. Every year when we would hang them on the tree I would think about one day painting ornaments with my husband. What's weird is that one day my kids will hang them on the tree....

If you would like to start a tradition head to your local Hobby Lobby.

A Tea Kettle Incident

So, the other night one our friends, let's call him "John", was going to help make tea. He went into the kitchen, filled the kettle and put it on the stove. The only problem was our kettle is electric and has a plastic bottom. Nathan and I were sitting in the living room when we saw smoke billowing out of the kitchen. He jumped up and grabbed the kettle off of the burning stove. We had to stand outside for 30 minutes while the smoke cleared the apartment. The stove is ok, but the kettle not so much.

Ok, so I need to add that the next day "John" bought us a new kettle AND got me a bread bowl of potato soup from Panera, my favorite. There are no hard feelings.

Isabell

We love are so in love with our cat. Here are some pictures of her and Nathan playing.

Bikes, Frisbee and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

I finally got a tire pump for my bike. It's called "the Judge" and the more expensive tire pump was called "the jury". I thought that was odd, however after using "the judge" I decided that I should have gone with "the jury". Anyway, so my bike works now! I was so excited the other night so I took it for a spin. There is a parking lot across the street from our apartments. So I rode my bike over to watch Nathan and his friends play frisbee. We are so mature.

Oh, and speaking of how mature we are, here's a picture we took at the mall the other day.

My new job...

So, I've finally gotten a job. It's at a little shop right by my house. I went for the interview yesterday and thought I would be able to go home and assess whether or not I wanted to work there. Well, the man who owns the store made an offer and then started going over how their schedule works, what to wear, etc. and then said I'll see you on Monday at 9:15. He didn't give me a chance to even think about it. I'm not very excited. I wanted to get a nanny job. Maybe I'll figure something out before Monday.
